Jharkhand's deeply revered Shravani Mela, a world-renowned festival, will be held in 2025 with unprecedented grandeur and modernity. The state government has taken significant steps to align the mela with international standards, prioritizing the comfort and safety of devotees.

Jharkhand Shravani Mela 2025: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed that the world-famous state Shravani Mela, commencing July 11th this year, be made even more magnificent and well-organized. He emphatically stated that no compromise should be made regarding the safety, convenience, and hospitality of the lakhs of devotees expected from India and abroad.

He chaired a high-level review meeting on Friday at the Shri Krishna Lok Prashasan Sansthan auditorium, attended by the Baba Baidyanath Dham-Basukinath Tirtha Kshetra Vikas Pradhikaran and other senior officials. The Chief Minister meticulously reviewed the mela preparations and instructed officials to complete all necessary arrangements on time.

He explicitly instructed that robust arrangements for sanitation, potable water, accommodation, medical facilities, traffic management, and law and order be ensured to prevent any inconvenience to devotees.

Anticipation of 5 Million Devotees, Preparations in Full Swing

Over 5 million devotees are expected to attend the Shravani Mela this year. Considering the sanctity of Baba Baidyanath Dham and Basukinath pilgrimage sites, arrangements will be significantly strengthened and digitized to ensure every devotee has a safe, clean, and memorable experience.

The Chief Minister directed all departments to complete their tasks within the deadline. He emphasized that the Shravani Mela is a symbol of Jharkhand and a proud part of its cultural heritage. Making it even more grand can give the state a new identity.

Special Emphasis on Security and Traffic Control

Security arrangements will be unprecedentedly strengthened to manage the millions of people expected during the Shravani Mela. The traffic management system is being upgraded. Crowd control and traffic management will be digitally handled through high-definition cameras, vehicle number plate readers, and drone surveillance. The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to strictly enforce traffic rules and adhere to speed limits.

Utilizing Technology for Devotee Service

A QR code-based complaint system is being introduced to provide immediate redressal of any inconvenience faced by devotees. Devotees can directly report any problem or complaint to the relevant authorities by scanning the QR code. The Chief Minister also directed that complaints be addressed promptly and effectively.

The Chief Minister instructed the creation of separate rest houses, dining halls, and bathing areas for women and children. He also suggested utilizing vacant land along the mela route temporarily, with the consent of landowners. He directed officials to thoroughly clean the land and restore it to its original condition after the mela concludes.

Strict Coordination and Monitoring System

The Chief Minister instructed Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari to ensure coordination among all departments and regularly monitor the preparations. The meeting was attended by the Tourism and Culture Minister Sudhir Kumar, local MLA, senior officials, and members of the Tirtha Kshetra Vikas Pradhikaran. Chief Minister Hemant Soren's endeavor is to establish Jharkhand's religious and cultural events on national and international platforms.

The glory of Baba Baidyanath Dham, the faith of Shiva devotees, and Jharkhand's hospitality are set to receive global recognition through this year's Shravani Mela.
