Uruguay's Dominance in the First Half

Uruguay adopted an aggressive approach from the outset, with Milagros Segal converting a penalty corner into a goal in the third minute to give her team an early lead. Before the Indian defense could recover from this initial setback, Uruguay intensified its attacks. However, the Indian team remained composed and fought back in the second quarter, with Sonam scoring a brilliant penalty corner finish in the 21st minute to level the score at 1-1.

But Uruguay responded immediately, and Agustina Mary scored another penalty corner goal in the 24th minute, regaining the lead for her team. At the end of the first half, the score was 2-1 in Uruguay's favor.

Kanika's Resurgent Performance Turns the Tide
