Pichai dismissed these fears as unnecessary, explicitly stating that Google has no large-scale layoff plans driven by AI.
AI: An Assistant, Not an Enemy
Pichai stated in the interview that AI is an assistive technology that will simplify employees' work. He explained that AI is being designed to make team work faster and more efficient. This means employees will spend less time on repetitive tasks and focus more on larger projects.
