In Jaipur, a husband murdered his wife by strangulation following a domestic dispute. He then concealed the body in a sack, disposing of it in a pit and covering it with scrap metal. Police have apprehended the accused husband, who confessed to the crime during interrogation.
Crime News: A shocking incident has emerged from the Vishwakarma area of Jaipur, raising serious questions about relationships. This case, stemming from a domestic dispute, resulted in a horrifying act that has left everyone stunned. Mohammad Shahid Qureshi, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, strangled his wife, Farheen, and then meticulously planned to hide her body. After the murder, he placed the body in a sack, disposed of it in a pit in a secluded area, and covered it with scrap material to avoid suspicion.
Murder in a Fit of Rage Following Domestic Dispute
The entire incident occurred on the afternoon of May 1st. The accused, Shahid, worked at a scrap yard in Jaipur's Vishwakarma area. He had taken his wife, Farheen, to the yard that day. Reports suggest that an argument broke out between them in the afternoon. This escalated to the point where Shahid, in a fit of rage, strangled his wife.
After the murder, he removed Farheen's clothes and placed her naked body in a sack. He then took the body to a pit near the yard and disposed of it. He attempted to conceal the evidence by covering it with scrap material. Afterwards, he returned home as if nothing had happened and went to sleep with his children.
Slept with Children After Murder, as if Nothing Happened
Shahid's behavior after the murder shocked the police. He acted as if nothing had happened after taking his wife's life. He went straight home and slept with his children. He showed no signs of nervousness or fear. He neither informed anyone nor aroused suspicion. Initially, police found it difficult to believe that someone capable of such a heinous crime could appear so composed.
Shahid's actions suggest premeditation, both in the murder and its aftermath. He didn't want anyone to discover his wife's death; therefore, he not only concealed the body but also attempted to maintain a normal demeanor to avoid suspicion.
Woman's Body Found in Pit the Next Day
The next day, May 2nd, police received information about a woman's body found in a sack. Upon receiving the information, police immediately went to the scene and began their investigation. Preliminary investigations led police to suspect Shahid, as Farheen was last seen with him. Police took Shahid into custody and, during interrogation, he confessed to the crime. He stated that he was frustrated with the frequent arguments with his wife and, in a fit of rage, he murdered her.
Accused Told Police – Troubled by Frequent Arguments
During police questioning, Shahid explained that his wife, Farheen, argued over trivial matters, causing him significant mental distress. Shahid claimed he was overwhelmed by these constant arguments and saw no other way out. In a moment of rage, he killed his wife. Shahid's statements clearly indicate that the murder was not a spur-of-the-moment act, but rather the result of prolonged stress and mental exhaustion.
However, his distress and stress cannot justify taking a life. This incident demonstrates that if domestic violence and mental stress are not addressed in a timely manner, such dangerous consequences can arise.
