Indian Air Force Granted Free Rein After Operation Sindur Amidst Rising Tensions with Pakistan

Following Operation Sindur, the Indian Air Force has been granted free rein to respond directly to suspicious activities. Security agencies remain vigilant amid escalating tensions along the Line of Control (LOC).

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force has been given a free hand. If they detect suspicious activities in Pakistan or Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), they can retaliate with full force. This move follows a recent strike under Operation Sindur, where the Indian Army destroyed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK.

Increased Firing from Pakistan

Following India's attack on terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK, Pakistan has initiated heavy firing along the LOC. This shelling resulted in the deaths of 13 Indian civilians, including four children and a soldier. The Indian Army has responded forcefully, destroying several Pakistani posts.

Airport Closures for Security Reasons

Given the security situation in India, several airports have been closed. Currently, 27 airports are shut down, including major airports like Jammu, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Ludhiana. This measure has been taken to ensure civilian safety.

Constant Monitoring of National Security

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval are closely monitoring the situation. They recently held a meeting to assess the security situation. Furthermore, an all-party meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled, where prominent leaders from various political parties will participate.

Continuously Escalating Tensions

Tensions continue to rise along the border between India and Pakistan, and India remains alert regarding its security. Residents of some border villages in Firozpur district, Punjab, have been moved to safer locations to protect them from Pakistani shelling.
