India-Pakistan Border Tension Cancels Leave at Ordnance Factories

India-Pakistan Border Tension Leads to Cancellation of Leave at Ordnance Factories

Amidst rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border, leave has been cancelled for employees at ordnance factories in Chandrapur and Jabalpur. Employees have been ordered to immediately return to duty.

Border Tension: In light of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, leave for all employees at Ordnance Factory Chanda (OFC), located in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra, and Ordnance Factory Khamaria (OFK) in Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh, has been cancelled with immediate effect. This step has been taken to further strengthen the nation's defense preparedness.

Leave Cancelled at Ordnance Factories

Ordnance Factory Chanda issued a circular stating that, per the instructions of the Chairman and Managing Director of Munitions India Limited (MIL), all employees have been ordered to return to duty without delay. The circular also clarified that leave will only be granted in extremely essential circumstances.

Reason for Leave Cancellation at Jabalpur Factory

Leave for officers and employees has also been cancelled at OFK Jabalpur. Avinash Shankar, OFK's PRO, explained that the cancellation was due to unfulfilled production targets for the financial year. He stated, "Instructions have been received from headquarters to cancel leave to ensure increased workforce and supervision."

Necessary Step to Meet Production Targets

OFK employs approximately 4,000 workers and produces vital ammunition for the Indian armed forces. Experts suggest that such preparations are necessary to maintain the defense production chain and handle any contingency. Regular employee attendance will ensure the fulfillment of production targets and timely delivery.
