Weather patterns across India are shifting once again. While intense sunshine and humidity are affecting northern India, monsoon rains have begun in parts of south and central India. The meteorological department has issued a detailed forecast for the next 24 hours.
Weather Update: The weather across several states, including Delhi-NCR, has changed once more. While intense heat continues to trouble people in North India, many areas have experienced some relief from sudden squalls and light rain. Amidst this changing weather, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released its latest weather forecast for tomorrow.
According to the meteorological department, b winds, thunder, and heavy rain are expected in many parts of the country tomorrow, especially in the hilly and northern plains. However, heat waves and intense heat will continue to affect areas such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, and western Uttar Pradesh.
Squalls and Light Rain in Delhi-NCR
Partly cloudy skies are expected in the national capital, Delhi, and surrounding areas today. The meteorological department predicts light rain accompanied by thunder and dust storms in the evening. Wind speeds may reach 40-50 km per hour. The maximum temperature may hover around 39°C and the minimum around 27°C. While the rain will provide some relief, the humidity may remain uncomfortable.
Heatwave Continues in Rajasthan
A severe heatwave alert has been issued for western districts of Rajasthan, including Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bikaner. Temperatures in these areas could reach 44-46°C. Dust storms and b winds are also anticipated. While some parts of eastern Rajasthan may experience light rain with thunder, it is unlikely to offer significant relief from the heat.
Rain Arrives in Uttar Pradesh
The weather in Uttar Pradesh is expected to provide some relief. Light to moderate rain with thunder is likely in both western and eastern parts. Winds could reach 40-50 km per hour in some areas. Drizzle is expected in the evening in areas like Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and Noida.
Showers Possible in Madhya Pradesh
Monsoon activity is beginning in Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rain with thunder is expected in areas like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior. Some areas may experience heavy rain with b winds (50-60 km per hour). Maximum temperatures will be around 37°C and minimum temperatures around 26°C.
Heavy Rainfall Alert for Gujarat and Maharashtra
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in southern and Saurashtra regions of Gujarat. Surat, Navsari, and Bhavnagar are particularly at risk of intense rain and storms. Moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and the Konkan region of Maharashtra. Vidarbha may also experience light rain and b winds.
Eastern Indian states like Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha are also experiencing changing weather patterns. Light to moderate rain with thunder is likely. Some areas may experience heavy rain with lightning and b winds. Farmers in rural areas are advised to take precautions.
Hail Possible in Hilly States
Hilly states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may experience squalls, light rain, and hail in some areas. Maximum temperatures may range from 28-30°C and minimum temperatures from 15-17°C. This shift in weather may make tourist destinations more pleasant, but travelers should remain cautious.
