CBSE: Release Date of 10th and 12th Results
Lakhs of students who appeared for the CBSE 10th and 12th board exams are eagerly awaiting their results. The board completed the exams on time, and preparations for the result release are underway. Based on past trends, the CBSE 10th and 12th results are expected by the second week of May. In 2023, the results were released on May 12th, and in 2024, on May 13th. Therefore, it is likely that the results will be released around May 12th or 13th this year as well.
However, some media reports claim that the CBSE results might be released on May 2nd, 2025. But the board has not yet announced a confirmed date for the results. The most reliable and accurate information regarding the results will be available on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. Where Students Can Check Their Results?
After the CBSE board releases the 10th and 12th results, students can check their scorecards using several easy methods. First, you can visit the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in or results.cbse.nic.in, and enter your roll number and date of birth to view your results. Additionally, you can use the DigiLocker app or website, where your mark sheets and certificates are also available in digital format.
Students who wish to check their results via mobile can also do so through SMS. The board will provide necessary instructions on the day of the result announcement. After viewing the results, students can download them and keep a printout for future reference.
Passing Marks Required?
If you have taken the CBSE 10th or 12th board exams, you must be wondering about the passing marks. The answer is simple – a minimum of 33 percent marks in each subject is required. This means that if the paper is of 100 marks, you need to score at least 33 marks to pass.
If a student scores less than 33 marks in one or two subjects, there is no need to worry. CBSE provides them with another opportunity called the supplementary exam or compartment exam. This exam is held a few weeks after the results and aims to prevent students from losing an entire year due to a single mistake.
