A seven Jyotirlinga Yatra train, commencing from Gorakhpur on June 30th, promises a delightful blend of faith and tourism. The ‘Bharat Gaurav’ train offers devotees an 11-night, 12-day journey to visit seven prominent Jyotirlingas across India.
Jyotirlinga Yatra Train: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has once again presented a special offering for religious travelers departing from Gorakhpur. The ‘Bharat Gaurav Special Train,’ facilitating visits to seven Jyotirlingas, will depart from Gorakhpur on June 30th. This special journey will span 11 nights and 12 days, allowing passengers to visit prominent Jyotirlinga sites across the country. IRCTC has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure this journey is comfortable and accessible from every perspective.
Which Places Will Be Visited on This Journey?
During this sacred journey, devotees will visit the Mahakalesshwar (Ujjain), Omkareshwar, Nageshwar, Somnath, Trimbakeshwar (Nashik), Bhimeshwar, and Grishneshwar (Aurangabad) Jyotirlingas. Additionally, visits to the Dwarkadhish Temple, Bet Dwarka, Panchavati, Kalaram Temple, and other local religious sites are included. This journey will offer devotees a spiritual experience alongside an introduction to India's cultural diversity.
Route and Stops of the Journey
The train will depart from Gorakhpur Junction and pass through Mankapur, Ayodhya Cantt, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj Sangam, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Kanpur, Orai, Jhansi, and Lalitpur stations, enabling passengers from these locations to join the journey. The train will return to Gorakhpur on July 11th, following the same route.
According to Ajit Kumar Sinha, Chief Regional Manager of IRCTC, special arrangements have been made to ensure a modern and comfortable journey. Passengers will be provided with AC rooms in deluxe hotels for accommodation, vegetarian breakfast and meals, and AC buses for local sightseeing. Trained staff will also be deployed for cleanliness, security, and guidance.
EMI Facility: A Significant Relief for Devotees
A highlight of this journey is the EMI option for ticket booking. Devotees can pay for the journey in easy installments of ₹826 per month. This will benefit those who cannot afford a lump-sum payment. IRCTC has made this facility available keeping the convenience of devotees in mind. Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested travelers can find all the information on the official IRCTC website.
Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Yatra Also Commences
Earlier, on June 7th, another Bharat Gaurav train departed from Gorakhpur. This train offers visits to prominent South Indian pilgrimage sites, including the Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga, Tirupati Balaji, Meenakshi Temple (Madurai), Rameshwaram, and Kanyakumari. This journey is also 11 nights and 12 days long, with the train returning to Gorakhpur on June 18th.
This train includes nine sleeper class coaches, and one each of AC two-tier and AC three-tier classes. Boarding and alighting facilities are provided at stations like Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, and Lalitpur, in addition to Gorakhpur, during the journey.
