Ayodhya Witnesses Grand Three-Day Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

Ayodhya Witnesses Grand Three-Day Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

The second Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi commenced at 6:30 AM on June 3rd. This special event will continue until June 5th. During this period, the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of the deity idols will be performed in a total of eight temples, including the Ram Darbar located on the first floor of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.

Ayodhya Pran Prathistha: Ayodhya is once again witnessing a historic confluence of faith, culture, and devotion. After the installation of Ram Lalla in his childhood form on January 22nd, 2024, the process of establishing Lord Shri Ram in his "Raja Ram" (King Ram) form on the first floor began on June 3rd, 2025. This event is not merely a religious ritual, but a revival of a historical cultural tradition deeply rooted in the soul of India.

This grand three-day ceremony, starting on June 3rd and concluding on June 5th, the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dashahara, will see the Pran Pratishtha of Raja Ram, along with Mata Sita, Lakshmana, Bharata, Shatrughna, and Hanuman in the Darbar (court) constructed on the first floor of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. This Darbar will be the main attraction of the temple complex, where devotees can witness the majestic form of Lord Shri Ram.

Temples and Deity Idols Installed within the Enclosure Wall

The Pran Pratishtha of deities is also taking place in six subsidiary temples built within the enclosure wall surrounding the Ram Temple.

  • Shiva Linga in the Eshanya (Northeast) corner
  • Shri Ganesha in the Agni (Southeast) corner
  • Hanuman in the South
  • Surya Dev (Sun God) in the Nairitya (Southwest) corner
  • Goddess Bhagwati in the Vayavya (Northwest) corner
  • Mata Annapurna in the North

Additionally, the installation of Shesh Avatar is underway in the southwest corner. All these temples imbue the entire temple complex with divine energy.

Features of Raja Ram's Darbar

The Darbar constructed on the first floor of the Ram Temple now showcases the majestic form of Lord Shri Ram. Measuring 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height, this temple is entirely built in the Nagara style, showcasing the marvelous splendor of Indian architecture. With 392 pillars and 44 doors, this temple is a confluence of ornamentation, craftsmanship, and spiritual beauty.

Festive Atmosphere in Ayodhya

From the streets of Ayodhya to the temple complex, a dazzling display of grand decorations and divine illumination is prevalent. The Kalash Yatra originating from the banks of the Sarayu River, devotional songs (bhajan-kirtan), Vedic recitations, and religious rituals are painting the entire city in an ethereal atmosphere. Devotees from far and wide have flocked for darshan (sight), and the resounding chants of "Jai Shri Ram" echo throughout the city.

Ayodhya Pandits Determine the Auspicious Time This Year

While the auspicious time for the first Pran Pratishtha on January 22nd was determined by the pandits (priests) of Kashi (Varanasi), this time, renowned scholars of Ayodhya—Pandit Pradeep Sharma, Rakesh Tiwari, and Raghunath Das Shastri—determined the auspicious moment. The installation of Raja Ram will take place on June 5th, during the Abhijit Muhurta (11:25 AM to 11:40 AM) on Ganga Dashahara.

Under the guidance of Pandit Jayaprakash Tiwari, a scholar from Chandauli, 101 Vedic acharyas (preceptors) are simultaneously performing the Pran Pratishtha of the deity idols in all eight temples. This event is being conducted according to scriptural, grand, and unparalleled Vedic methods.

Dr. Anil Mishra Serves as the Yajman Again

Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, who served as the chief Yajman (sponsor) during the first Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22nd, has once again received this honor. He and his wife are again serving as the Yajmans for this historic moment, which is a matter of religious and social respect. SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover stated that robust security arrangements have been implemented in Ayodhya. Additional police forces are deployed at all major locations, and surveillance is being carried out through CCTV and drone cameras to ensure that no devotee faces any inconvenience.
