Bihar News: Bihar's former Deputy Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, narrowly escaped a road accident. The incident occurred near the Godhia bridge in the Goroul police station area on Hajipur-Muzaffarpur National Highway 22, where an uncontrolled truck violently collided with a vehicle in Tejashwi Yadav's convoy. Three people, including security personnel and a driver, were injured in the accident.
Situation during the incident
The incident occurred late Thursday night. Tejashwi Yadav was returning to Patna from Madhepura. During the journey, he decided to stop for a short while at a tea stall with his convoy. At that very moment, an uncontrolled truck collided head-on with two or three vehicles in his convoy. According to eyewitnesses, the truck collided just five feet away from Tejashwi Yadav. A slightly different situation could have resulted in a major accident.
Tejashwi Yadav took the injured to the hospital
Immediately after the accident, Tejashwi Yadav, with the help of his escort, took the injured to Hajipur Sadar Hospital. The injured security personnel and drivers have been identified as Ramnath Yadav, Lalan Kumar, and Dharmveer Kumar. A team of doctors at the hospital immediately started treating them, and the situation is under control.
Administration seized the truck and apprehended the driver
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police sprang into action. The truck that hit the vehicle was seized near the Patetha toll plaza. The truck driver has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. The police say appropriate legal action will be taken against the driver.
Tejashwi Yadav expressed concern
Speaking to the media after the accident, Tejashwi Yadav said that accidents happen, but negligence should not be tolerated at all. He said that strict action should be taken against the culprits in such cases to prevent similar incidents in the future. Tejashwi also said that the highest number of people in the country lose their lives in road accidents, which is a serious cause for concern.

When asked if the incident was a result of negligence in security, he said it would be premature to say so. But he clarified that negligence cannot be ignored under any circumstances. He appealed to the administration to keep a strict watch on such violations of traffic rules and punish the culprits.

Tejashwi Yadav himself remained at the hospital for a long time with the injured personnel and inquired about their well-being from the doctors. He also ensured that the injured did not face any difficulties in treatment. Civil Surgeon Dr. Shyamanandan Prasad said that the condition of all the injured is now stable and they have been given necessary first aid.
