Bihar Politics: A war of words is escalating between two prominent political families in Bihar. This conflict involves the families of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) patron Jitan Ram Manjhi. Recent sharp reactions from both sides on social media have added further spice to this political battle.
Manjhi family's direct attack on RJD and Lalu
For the past few days, the Manjhi family has been consistently targeting the RJD and Lalu Yadav. While Jitan Ram Manjhi himself is attacking the party and the Yadav family's statements, his son Santosh Suman has also launched an offensive against Tejashwi Yadav. Santosh Suman is continuously attacking Tejashwi on issues such as reservations, prohibition, and crime.
Deepa Manjhi attacks Lalu's daughter-in-law
Manjhi's daughter-in-law and MLA, Deepa Manjhi, has now joined this verbal battle. She has sharply criticized Lalu Prasad's daughter-in-law, Rajshree Yadav. Deepa's counterattack stems from a comment made from a purported fake social media handle of Rajshree Yadav targeting nationalists.
Deepa Manjhi stated, "Changing your name doesn't change your thoughts, Richel Bhabhi... The nationalists you are mocking are the very ones who sent your father-in-law to jail. Ask your father-in-law..."
Targeting Tej Pratap Yadav as well
Deepa Manjhi also targeted Tej Pratap Yadav. Commenting on Tej Pratap's statement about engaging in a fight while showing his pilot's license, Deepa said,
"Teju Bhaiya, you're always boasting... You don't have a pilot's license, but an expired Aeronautical Radiotelephone Operator's license."
Her statement was a sharp rebuke of Tej Pratap's perceived "dramatic" political style.
Santosh Suman attacks Tejashwi on reservation issue
Santosh Suman continues to attack Tejashwi Yadav on issues of reservation and social justice. He stated that "The Lalu family is Bihar's biggest political feudal lord, only talking about socialism for electoral gains."
Recently, Manjhi taunted the Lalu family, saying, "Those who didn't utter a word on Shahabuddin's death are now shedding crocodile tears on his death anniversary."
Attack on Tejashwi regarding toddy ban
Manjhi also attacked Tejashwi Yadav on the issue of toddy (a traditional drink). He said, "When you were the Deputy Chief Minister, you banned toddy, causing the felling of lakhs of palm trees. Now, during elections, you're carrying a pitcher of toddy on your shoulder and saying you'll lift the ban. Why impose the ban in the first place if you were going to lift it?"
