Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, Brijesh Pathak, launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. During a press conference in Kanpur, he stated that Yadav's statements stem from frustration and disillusionment due to repeated rejection by the public. The Deputy CM even challenged Yadav to an open debate, stating, "If Akhilesh has the courage, let him debate me on an open platform so the truth can be presented before the public."
Deputy CM's Statements
Pathak asserted that Akhilesh Yadav is currently avoiding self-reflection, as his failures are evident. He accused Yadav of deflecting responsibility for his own administration's shortcomings by blaming others. He further claimed that the Yogi government's development policies and strengthened law and order have shaken the Samajwadi Party's political foundation, leading to Yadav's agitated and baseless rhetoric.
Open Challenge for Debate
The Deputy CM publicly challenged Akhilesh Yadav to an open debate on issues such as development, law and order, employment, health, and education, provided he has confidence in his own record. He stated, "The public will then decide which government delivered and who only indulged in the politics of promises."
Yadav's Statements Called Misleading
Responding to Akhilesh Yadav's recent statements, Brijesh Pathak accused him of attempting to mislead the public. He contrasted this with what he described as the rampant crime, corruption, and lawlessness under the Samajwadi Party's rule. He claimed that the Yogi government has not only cracked down on criminals but has also taken concrete steps to ensure justice and provide better facilities to ordinary citizens in all sectors.
Public Trust with BJP
The Deputy CM stated that the recent Lok Sabha elections clearly indicate the people of Uttar Pradesh's trust in the policies of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi. He alleged that opposition parties are engaged in mere rhetoric and empty promises, while the BJP is focused on development.
During the press conference, the Deputy CM also mentioned ongoing development projects in Kanpur. He highlighted the rapid progress on a new medical college, road projects, metro expansion, and strengthening of healthcare services. He urged the public to witness the changes on the ground themselves, emphasizing the tangible improvements.
