Delhi News: The accused who threatened Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has been arrested. The accused has been identified as Shlok Tripathi, apprehended from the Kotwali area of Ghaziabad. This arrest was a joint operation between Delhi and Ghaziabad Police.
Threatening Call Made While Intoxicated
The police investigation revealed that the accused made the call while under the influence of alcohol. He made this serious mistake following a domestic dispute with his wife. The accused made a threatening call to Delhi's Chief Minister, which was directly received by the emergency helpline number, Dial 112.
Call Tracing Uncovers the Truth
The number used to make the call was registered to an address in Gorakhpur. Police traced the call's location to the Panchwati area in the Kotwali police station area of Ghaziabad. Upon tracing the location, the police immediately acted and apprehended the accused.
SIM Card Registered in Relative's Name
According to Delhi Police, the SIM card used to make the threat was registered in the name of a relative of the accused. However, the accused did not anticipate the police's swift tracking of his location.
Interrogation Underway
After his arrest, Shlok Tripathi was handed over to the Delhi Police. Delhi Police are currently questioning the accused. During questioning, the accused admitted to making the call while intoxicated and claimed he was unaware of the serious consequences.
Police Officer Provides Information
Providing information on the matter, ACP Ritesh Tripathi stated that the call came through Dial 112 and was immediately taken seriously. He explained that technical analysis and mobile tracing quickly led to the identification of the accused.
